Glossybox - September 2015 - Fashion Forward

I decided to really jump into my beauty box addition and subscribe to Glossybox as well. I found a coupon code and decided it was time to make the jump.

Glossybox is known for their beautiful packaging and I have to say that this light pink box is stunning.

Each box comes with a card with every item you receive including lengthy descriptions and pricing.

Emite - Artist Color powder blush #108

This is a very deep colored blush, so I've been using it on my cheekbones as a contour. It is a quality powder and stays put all day.

Nails, Inc - nail polish in Uptown

Nails, Inc has a great reputation as a quality nail polish. This color is a neutral pink and looks great for daily wear.

Julep - Luxe up your lips in Sheer Fig

Another brand that people absolutely love! This full size gloss is a tint of purple. When applied, it makes your lips look wet with a barely noticeable purple. I enjoy the kind of weird scent it has but it does easily slide off your lips.

Benefit Cosmetics - They're Real mascara

I've heard of this Benefit mascara but never had the chance to try it. The formula lengthens, curls, volumizes, lifts and separates your lashes. It is a long wear formula to keep your lashes looking fab all day.

Biossance - The Revitalizer

This can be used for head to toe moisture. The lightweight concentrate works on all skin types and leaves your skin feeling nourished.

I see why people say they love the quality of Glossybox's products. You can definitely see the difference from $10 beauty boxes. This box has a total value of $70 and I am intrigued by all the products I received.

Birchbox - September 2015 - You're Beautiful

I decided that it was time to jump deeper into my beauty box subscription craze. Birchbox receives so many rave reviews, so I decided to give it a try. My first Birchbox is themed "You're Beautiful".

The box itself is a bit art deco with "you're beautiful" splayed across the top in shiny gold.

100% pure - organic coffee bean caffeine eye cream
0.3 fl oz/ 8 ml  value: $8

This anti-inflammatory, caffeine rich green tea and coffee improve the appearance of puffy under-eyes. This will certainly come in handy after long days at the office.

Anastasia Beverly Hills - perfect brow pencil in medium brown

Raw Spirit - Wild Fire eau de parfum
0.03 fl oz/ 1 ml  value: $7

This is a very small pencil sample but I guess that's because of Anastasia's price tag. I like the pencil's texture and the medium brown works well with my eyebrow coloring.

This scene is inspired by the intoxicating scent of the Western Australian outback in the intense heat of summer. I enjoy the woody scent.

tre'StiQue - Correct & Cover concealer crayon in Bisque

Another tre'Stique product that is wonderful! The crayon is small enough to provide a decent amount of coverage under your eyes. It is somewhat sheer so it is better for evening skin tone rather than covering imperfections.


Salon Gioje - Keratin protein mask

This mask repairs your hair from the inside out. Use for 10 minutes to make dry, damaged hair look soft, voluminous and shiny. It is formulated with natural keratin to repair the DNA of your locks.

My first Birchbox has a total value of $41. I truly like and will use about half the products in this month's box. Overall pretty good first impression.

Target - September 2015 - Fall in Love

Target put together some of their new faces for the cooling temps.

Jane Carter - Revitalizing leave-in conditioner

Use this conditioning spray to detangle and protect your hair from heat-styling and the sun. It's formula increases your hair's ability to retain moisture. The Aloe Vera and essential oils deliver a protective barrier to the hair and scalp to prevent damage. It smells very sweet and your hair will have a sweet scent all day.

Curls - Creme Brûlée whipped curl cream

This seriously smells so good that I want to eat it!! This curl defining and moisturizing cream is formulated with certified organic sweet almond milk, shea butter and aloe leaf juice. Use on freshly conditioned curls or use the following day for a refresher.

Dove - Quench Absolute creme serum

This serum provides nourishment for long lasting frizz control and curl definition.

Shea Moisture - Jamaican Black Caster Oil styling lotion

Use this styling lotion to strengthen, grow and restore your hair. It is formulated with shea buyer, peppermint and keratin. Return moisture and lustrous shine to dull, damaged or chemically treated hair.

Aquaphor - healing ointment

This advanced therapy formula relieves dry, cracked or irritated skin. This skin protectant will help your  skin become happy and healthy.

Colgate - Optic White Platinum Express White toothpaste

Reveal whiter teeth in just 3 days of using this toothpaste. It leaves your mouth feeling sparkling and minty fresh.

This Target beauty box holds a value of $17. I do not have naturally curly hair, but I will still try some of the hair products to see their benefits. I do really like the Jane Carter leave-in conditioner.

Donnamax - printed nail file

This cute nail file comes with it's on carrying case, which people seem to love. It has a nice design and can be thrown in your purse for easy use.

Starlooks - Luxe longwear eyeliner in Plum

I prefer liquid eyeliners for on my eyelid. What I really love is that this is a deep plum hue. It adds a  little dimension from the usual black winged liner. It has a felt tip for easy use and is long lasting. 

Hask Beauty - Coconut Oil deep conditioning hair treatment

This deep conditioner helps restore moisture into your locks. It re-hyrdates and softens all hair types. 

Jerome Alexander - Hot Stuff Go Pop compact

This hot pink compact took me by surprise! I haven't used makeup like this since my middle school days. The compact itself is a rubbery material, which is interesting. The compact includes three lip glosses and three shadows. The products themselves are decent quality.

Pur~lisse- Hydra-balance moisturizer

0.5 oz/ 15 ml   value: $16

I am happy to continue receiving these pur~lisse samples in my beauty boxes because they are such high value. This moisturizer uses Lotus Lupine Peptide Complex, vitamin E and French marine plants to give your skin balance. Use after cleansing morning and evening. 

I truly enjoyed about half the products in this month's box. The total value of the August box is $53.50. The Starlooks eyeliner in plum is easily the most used product from this box for me. 

IPSY - August 2015 - Prep School

We're flying through August and that means school is quickly approaching. IPSY decided to go with a prep school themed glambag this month.

I am a huge fan of houndstooth and the pink detailing complements perfectly. The material is a weird, almost plastic.


Doucce - Ultra Precision eye liner in black

Black eyeliner is a staple in almost everyone's beauty routine, so this was spot on. Plus FULL size? I love it. The liner goes on very smoothly and is a rich black. The liner does need to be sharpened.


Cover FX - blemish treatment

I have been spoiled lately with all these full size products. This blemish treatment is coming right in time! My skin is starting the show the signs of too much summer and the pimples are slowly forming. It is a light gel that can be applied. Let it dry and you can apply your makeup over the top.


Hikari Cosmetics - lip gloss in Merlot

I absolutely love wine, so anything wine themed is good in my book. This merlot color is exactly what you would expect and I love it. It is a thicker formula so it stays put on your lips pretty well.


Batiste - dry shampoo in Blush
50 ml/ 1.6 fl oz/ 30g  value: $2

I am already of huge fan of Batiste's dry shampoo. This little size is perfect for when I travel. The blush has a pleasant scent. Just make sure to spray it far enough away from your head so you don't get that dreaded white, dusty look.


OZ Naturals - Amino herbal hydration mask
1 fl oz/ 30 ml    value: $3

Apply this clear gel mask and watch it work wonders. I have fairly dry skin and this left my face feeling refreshed. The formula contains Hyaluronic acid, vitamin B5 and vitamin E. This face mask is high quality and produces great results.


I can easily say I LOVED everything in this month's glambag. My August bag has a total value of $62. The Hikari lipgloss is already one of my favorites and the blemish treatment has saved my breakouts.

Beauty Box 5 - July 2015 - Summer Night Out

Beauty Box 5 decided to stick with the summer theme for their July beauty box.

OFRA Cosmetics - lip gloss in Golden Rose

This lip gloss has a soft creamy formula that easily glides along your lips. I'm loving the light pink shade and it has a hint of shimmer. The gloss contains natural sun filters and can be used alone or over lipstick.

This light pink shade of lip liner pairs perfectly with the OFRA lip gloss in this box. The formula is water resistant and is created with a synthetic beeswax base. It goes on smooth and soft for long-lasting coverage.


Nanacoco - nail polish in Dazzle Purple

This purple nail polish hue is quite dazzling. The brand is a bit inexpensive, but I'm liking the color. Put on two coats to give your nails a pop of bold color.


Love Life Skin - Recovery serum & night cream

The recovery serum heals dry and delicate skin. It is infused with green tea, pomegranate and resveratrol to protect skin against damage. The night cream soothes and replenishes your dry skin while you sleep.


Pur~lisse - Flash tattoos

Flash temporary tattoos, how fun! These gold and silver metallic tattoos seem to be a top trend this summer. Apply the tattoo for a fun addition to your summer garb.


The July Beauty Box 5 has a total value of $40. I loved receiving the gloss/liner duo in complementary shades. The tattoos are a fun item that I would not normally purchase for myself. Overall, I am happy with this month's box and it certainly has me loving the summertime!!

Summer is going strong and the July IPSY glambag is designed to help all of us enjoy the season even more!

What an awesome full size item to receive! This is a long-wearing, waterproof eye shadow that spotlight your face with it's shimmery gold color. The pencil is soft and ultra-gliding great for creating an easy-to-blend look. The pencil comes with a sharpener on one end.


Crown Brush - tweezers

Are tweezers a frequent in beauty boxes? I guess I can always keep them stored in case. These are nice, black tweezers adorned with an adorable little crown (CROWN brush).


City Color Cosmetics - HD powder
0.141oz / 4g    value: $3.50

Now one wants an overly shiny face and this powder gives you a soft, matte finish. It is 100% silica powder that evens out fine lines, imperfections and pores.


Jor'el Parker - Classico fragrance mini roller
8.8ml   value: $21

This fragrance is described as the scent that takes you away. It opens your mind and awakens your senses. I enjoy the roller for easy application throughout the day.


Pur~lisse - Pur-bright ultra skin brightening serum
10ml/ 0.34 oz   value: $25

The first thing I thought was "wow this is an expensive product". I guess that is true of all quality facial serums. It brightens and evens your skin tone without the use of harsh ingredients. Apply the serum to freshly cleansed face and neck day or night.


My July glambag comes in at a total of $84. WOW!!! This month had many high value items. I'm loving everything in the bag this month.
